Playa Venao is located in the Azuero peninsula en the province of Los Santos and has been a top surf spot in Panama for a very long time. Venao is an exposed beach break that is often working. Tends to receive distant ground swells, but the optimum swell normally comes from the south. Venao usually has both left and rights and tends to work better with a rising tide. Some experiment surfers like to surf Venao in the low tide, because with the correct swell with not too much water, this wave transform in a hollow fast beach break, not too good for beginners, in this area exist some other spots to visit like: - Ciruelos, which is surfable in the low tide, this spot is a right hand rock botton break. - Lagart Point in the area of Pedasi. - Cambutal is an area which is 1 hour far from Venao, in this group of spots we can find: - 4:11, Dinosaurio and Corto Circuito.
